Liens can be found among the records at the Circuit Clerk’s office (searchable on the Case.net website), Recorder of Deeds office, and in various city offices where the subject property is located. The Circuit Clerk’s office cannot do lien searches or interpret whether a document is an enforceable lien on a property. Title companies do lien searches for a fee.
